Does your brain trust you?
9 out of 10 women lack real muscle contact
Do you struggle to get your muscles to tense correctly.
Like, really tense.
And not just tense.
But also being able to hold back?
Most of the women I meet are used to focusing their training on getting from A to B in a particular exercise, doing it so many times that you get out of breath or acidic - and it will probably work! Down up, down up, down up, down up... But no!
And if you've ever wondered...
- why it takes so long to see the results of your training efforts, or...
- why you get sore in certain positions in certain exercises, or...
- why you have such a hard time getting started with your workout, or...
- why you get stuck when you're doing so well...
Chances are, you need to establish STRONG CONNECTION.
Getting a really good grip on your muscles - makes everything better
ALL THE GREAT BENEFITS OF MUSCLE CONTACT:
Better stability.
Greater flexibility.
Less soreness.
Higher afterburn.
Better blood sugar regulation.
Stronger immune function.
Less water retention.
Better and calmer sleep.
More everyday strength and energy.
But that muscle switch can be tricky!
You may not have realised it yourself. Probably not.
Many people avoid doing the things that require that connection and that strength.
It's natural for us not to go where we feel limited - it happens unconsciously.
Is your neck locked?
Then we turn the whole body, not the head.
Knee hurts when you go down?
Then we lift our heels or bend forwards instead.
Regain control when the body and brain lose connection to the muscles
The problem is that when the way we move in the world is an involuntary result of everything we DON'T do and can't do...
When it's the sum of many different avoidance manoeuvres and compensations... And when we haven't been in certain positions and movements for a long time...
Then the brain loses track of the body.
And then the same thing happens as when you haven't updated the software on your computer or phone for too long. The screen freezes and you quickly run out of power.
If you find that there are things you can't do - and movements that hurt - it is most likely NOT because you are broken - or your body is fragile and therefore needs to be protected from extreme positions.
When the brain lacks contact with the muscles, it realises that you lack the safety net that muscles provide.
Then you are not allowed to move freely or quickly. That doesn't mean you shouldn't. It just means that you need to reconnect to the brain with the muscles first.
The Road to Painless Freedom of Movement and Strength
I've watched SO many training videos from my clients - and tapped so many abs and glutes that I know that when you create a strong connection from brain to muscles - and effective collaboration between muscles - you will very quickly be able to move more freely and painlessly even in high heels - and see your body tighten up significantly faster (yes, even without cutting back on what you eat).
A stronger connection between brain and muscles will give you a feeling of greater strength.
And you'll find that much of your everyday life becomes easier - even WITHOUT heavy strength training.
(Although I would definitely encourage you to try it once you have re-established the strong connection between brain and muscles).
From being able to get up from your chair without supporting yourself with your hands - to being able to run, jump, lift your kids, do yard work and paint the ceiling without having to lie fallow for days afterwards - and being able to cry with laughter without peeing your pants.
MEET ANNA BOGDANOVA, BEHAVIOURAL DESIGN & TRAINING SPECIALIST
The last 15+ years I have been teaching tens of thousands of Danish women how to etablish and maintain a regular training routine with 5-minute micro-training sessions involving both the brain and muscles, so they can access much more strength, freedom, and energy in their everyday lives.
In my opinion, this highly effective training is the most important investment in your future.
At the moment, I am preparing my first international program, so make sure to stay tuned.
