THE WORLD CAN WAIT...

WARNING SIGNALS YOU SHOULDN'T IGNORE

When I don't get stronger in my training or when I have to scale down over a long period of time and can't scale up, it's a warning signal to me.

DON'T WAIT A SINGLE SECOND!

This happens during periods with such a high mental and emotional load that it affects the signal strength from brain to muscles.

I simply don't have enough neurotransmitters for my nervous system to activate enough muscle mass during physical exertion. Even the light kettlebells feel heavy.

It's normal to have these periods - and yes, in the short term, it's just a matter of reducing the physical demands while dealing with the mental and emotional stressors.

But...

WHEN IT GOES ON FOR WEEKS OR MONTHS AND

YOUR PHYSIQUE IS WEAKENING UNDER THE PSYCHOLOGICAL STRAIN...

It's a very clear sign that your everyday life needs a serious reassessment.

Settings, relationships, commitments, expectations.
Things that fill up without filling up again.

I have created programmes as short as 5 minutes a day to offer my customers a "damage control" strategy for those periods when you don't have the energy for more.

And yes, I've packed those 5 minutes with something that has an extremely high impact in relation to the effort you put into the workout.

But let's be honest,
if you have more than 1-2 months a year where you can't handle more than 0-5 minutes of physical exertion, or where your fitness goes downhill despite regular exercise, then your life is not sustainable.

IT'S TIME TO REASSESS WHAT YOUR OVERALL OVERLOAD CONSISTS OF

It's not necessarily about cutting back on everything and sparing yourself.
It's about taking a sober look at the emotional charge that different situations and tasks bring.

Does it give you wings - or do you feel crushed by it at the end of the day?
Does it make you feel invincible or inadequate?

It's not about placing blame.
It's about taking responsibility for changing situations that you don't thrive in - or moving yourself out of them.

You might not only set yourself free, but also others around you.

No relationship is improved when you only give half-heartedly because you don't have the energy for more.

It's not an easy decision to opt in and out wholeheartedly.

Which sets the stage for making the best possible decision for yourself.
